Find out moreBenefits of auricular acupuncture for cancer care
Auricular acupuncture is offered in many NHS cancer care settings as well as by cancer charities and support centres.
Research suggests that auricular acupuncture is beneficial in managing pain, night sweats, hot flushes, anxiety, depression and improving sleep.
In addition, our clients tell us we have helped them to cope in situations that they would previously have found very stressful. One of our clients felt a huge decrease in ‘scanxiety’ as a result of auricular acupuncture, which was accompanied by improved sleep and sleep quality.
Benefits of body massage for cancer care
Proven short term benefits include reduced pain and improvement of mood, reduced stress levels, reduced depression and improved sleep, reduced heart rate and lower blood pressure.
Long term benefits include reduced depression, mood disturbances and perceived stress levels and hostility, increased urinary dopamine, serotonin values, natural killer cell number and lymphocytes in breast cancer patients.
Our recommendation
"Auricular acupuncture is a like magic. I have no idea how it works, but it does work. Every time I have it, my mood lifts and my motivation increases." - TL, Cheshire
"I feel very relaxed after having this massage treatment which helps me sleep, it is helping with my anxiety attacks having a massage completely relaxes me, so much that I do not want to leave, but just fall asleep. I can feel the stress of life disappearing and I feel relief from the aches and pains." - Maria
We recommend you have a treatments, only then do you feel the magic - especially when acupuncture and massage are combined.
During your treatment
We begin with agreeing treatment objectives, including a massage consultation in which we identify areas of concern and match them with tailored body oils.
After which needles are inserted into your ear. You sit in a high chair whilst this is done. If you wish, you will be helped from the chair onto a therapy bed so that you can snooze whilst the needles remain in your ears.
The needles are removed after about 20 minutes.
After the needles are removed you will be asked to lie down on your front and our massage therapist will perform a Therapeutic Oncology Massage.

"I've been having auricular acupuncture for about four weeks and it's been really amazing. I asked Jennifer to help me with pain in my back. It went pretty quickly the first session and on the third time it just disappeared altogether."
